No trip to Stourton is complete without enjoying a Deer Safari on the tractor & trailer!  These are running every Sunday from 1st May to 25th September.  We are open from 10am til 4pm and the first one leaves at 11am, there will be another safari at 2pm and further safaris in between subject to demand. You will go for a tour around the estate and see the red deer herds in the parks.

A number of these tours will be running throughout the day,they will last about 45 minutes.  You can book your place(s) when you arrive – it is £6 for adults and £4 for children.  Infants under 2 are free of charge, but must sit on knees.

Don’t forget to bring a coat / jumper as it can get breezy on the back of the trailer 🙂

If you haven’t visited us before (or even if you have!) a Deer Safari is an experience not to be missed.  Get up close and personal with the Red Deer from the safety of the raised position seated on the trailer.

Wheelchair access is available, we have an elevated platform at the back of the trailer.

Tours will start from the arboretum – look out for the tractor & trailer and the Deer Safari flag!

We are accessible from the A158, look for the signage on the roadside turning down Clays Lane and following the signs to Stourton Woods / the Walled Garden Baumber.  PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO ACCESS FROM THE CAISTER HIGH STREET B1225.

Once on the Estate after 50 yards turn right on the chalk road across the field signed Stourton Woods, to the woodland beyond where there is a parking area available.
