Sun 17th May Get Active Outdoors Open Day

We are excited to launch our first Get Active Outdoors Open Day on Sunday 17th May.

We have a huge variety of activities for you to try from simple guided walks to woodland yoga, mountain biking, keep fit and lots more.  We will also be sharing our new events on offer at Stourton Estates in 2020!

Whilst there is a £3 per car charge for parking, it’s FREE entry to the estate for the day and we are open 10am – 4pm.

Step out in spring and try a new activity here on Sunday 17th May!  Come to our ‘Get Active Outdoors’ Open Day at Stourton Woods on Sunday 17th May where you can enjoy a variety of activities on offer in the arboretum.

Starting first thing with a 5k run around the estate, enjoy the estate and ‘have-a-go’ at what’s on offer!  Visit us prepared to use your energy or exercise your mind and get the benefit from simply being outdoors and at one with nature.

From guided and self-guided walks in and across the estate, to sessions of woodland yoga there will be something on offer for all ages and abilities. Children aged from 6 – 16 can try a taster session on a mountain bike using a purpose-built track in the woods, with the opportunity to learn basic bike maintenance skills.  Adults might be interested in knowing how best to use weights and other simple kit to build their strength and overall fitness from a qualified instructor.

Climb on board the trailer and enjoy a deer safari (bookable in advance as numbers are limited) which will be running throughout the day where you may just spot an early deer calf.

More activities and providers are coming on board all the time so if you’d like to get involved get in touch, or simply come along – mark this date in your diary!  See what new events we have on offer at Stourton Estates in 2020 too…

If you’d just like a breather and some inner energy home-made refreshments together with real coffee and tea (from the Lincoln Tea and Coffee company) as well as delicious cakes will be available from the safari tent.

Whilst there is a £3 per car charge for parking, it’s FREE entry to the estate for the day and we are open 10am – 4pm.

Visitors should access the estate from the A158 – a map showing how to find us is available here.
