May is National Walking Month so pack a picnic and join us for a guided 8.6 mile guided walk on Wednesday 26th May from 10am – 3pm.

The walk is a circular route from the car park at Stourton Woods, which takes in the edge of Sotby Woods, Great Sturton and our very own converted water tower view point on the return leg back through the estate. Enjoy the beautiful countryside, lakes and see the red deer as you explore the area.

We are delighted that Geoff Newmarch, who is an experienced and keen rambler, has kindly volunteered to be our walk leader.

The walk will start promptly at 10am at Stourton Woods car park, 1st right off Clays Lane, from the main A158 entrance to the estate.

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

The walk is a free event as part of the Higher Level Stewardship Scheme but places are limited to just 20 walkers so be sure to sign up quickly to avoid disappointment.

Don’t forget to wear appropriate clothing and walking boots / shoes and bring a packed lunch and refreshments with you!

*Please note if you are booking for more than one person make sure you add the names of all walkers in the notes section on the booking form*

Once on the Estate after 50 yards turn right on the chalk road across the field signed Stourton Estates, to the woodland beyond where there is a parking area available.
