Sun 19th May Wolds Walking Festival Open Day

Come and visit us for the day and enjoy one of the many guided or self guided walks around the estate.

We will be sharing what else is going on at Stourton Estates in 2019 and launching our newly positioned safari tent with lots of information from Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust available too.

We are also delighted to welcome Christine Chapman, a local historian who will visiting for the day and happy to talk to you about her work so far uncovering some of the hidden history from Stourton Hall and the wider estate.

It is FREE entry to the estate & we are open 10am – 4pm.

The day is yours to do as you wish – we will be running Deer Safaris (bookable in advance) throughout the day where you might just spot an early deer calf or you can simply come, relax and enjoy tea and cake in beautiful surroundings!

Come and visit us for the day and see what’s on offer at Stourton Estates in 2019 and what has changed on the estate since last year!

It’s FREE  entry to the estate & we are open 10am – 4pm for you to go on one of the organised Wolds Walks taking place across the Estate, wander around one of 3 self-guided routes or simply enjoy tea and cake in beautiful surroundings.

  • The first guided walk – The Red Deer Walk starts at 10.30am and is around 1 and a half miles in length, escorted by the Deer Manager you will learn more about the deer on this gentle amble around the estate and into a deer enclosure.
  • The second guided walk – The Stourton Explorer starts at 2pm and is 3.5 miles, escorted by the Estate Manager where you will take in views from the top of the water tower as well as visiting the site of the lost 16th Century hall on the estate and skirting the deer enclosures.
  • For our younger visitors we also have a Rock Ramble on offer within the vicinity of the arboretum to search for brightly coloured rocks and pebbles… available to take part in all day!

Deer Safaris (bookable in advance as numbers are limited) on the tractor and trailer will be running throughout the day where you may just spot an early deer calf.
