Lincolnshire Kitchen Cookbook

We are very excited to be included in this brand new cookbook, Lincolnshire Kitchen.

You will find our recipe One Pot Venison and Root Vegetable Casserole using our finest casserole steak to deliver a mouth-watering dish we hope you enjoy cooking. Our recipe sits proudly with a huge range of Lincolnshire food producers who have also put forward their very best recipes.

The cookbook has been produced to raise vital funds for Lincolnshire charity, LIVES. Did you know the charity attended over 13,000  emergency 999 calls last year? The volunteers who give their time need to fund their training, on-going support and Equipment, which LIVES provide.

Lincolnshire Kitchen will be available in a number of Lincolnshire Co-op Stores this winter, available to purchase here through the LIVES website.

The cookbook is available for £9.99 and every penny will goes to LIVES. We are proud to support a charity that so clearly looks after communities right across our county.

The project has been brought together to raise money for the lifesaving work of Lincolnshire Emergency Response charity, LIVES.

The cookbook, Lincolnshire Kitchen, is a celebration of the fantastic produce in the county. It brings together an abundance of well-known and highly respected companies and food producers.

This a 50 page book, with the recipes cooked and photographed together to produce a commercial feel cookbook, whilst also showcasing the brands who have chosen to be part of the project.

All profits from the sale of this cookbook will support the vital work of LIVES.

LIVES is a vital Lincolnshire Emergency First Response charity, that attends 999 medical emergencies around the county. Their volunteer army of First Responders and Medics are based within local Lincolnshire communities, meaning they are able to get to the scene of a 999 medical emergency in minutes, arriving before the ambulance 81% of the time.

As a charity, they need essential funding to keep volunteers on the road and ensure that they have the training and equipment to respond. LIVES Responders attend over 14,000 incidents a year, from road traffic collisions to cardiac arrests, and ensure your loved ones receive treatment when they desperately need it. They need over £1.4million a year to ensure they can keep this service running. This cookbook will generate essential funding for the charity to keep volunteers active within your local community – literally helping them to continue to save lives in Lincolnshire during this difficult time.

Ringrose Law is the headline sponsor for this project. LIVES has previously partnered with Ringrose Law on an annual calendar, which had always had a theme of celebrating Lincolnshire. This year, they decided to try something a little different!

With over 100 years of experience, Ringrose Law provide a full range of legal services to both private individuals and business clients. They have offices in Boston, Lincoln, Sleaford, Grantham, and Newark and have one of the widest coverage’s in the region of any law firm.

Their services include; family, divorce, children law, employment law, personal injury, medical negligence, house buying/selling, litigation, wills & probate, mental health, criminal law, driving offences and commercial law.

Chef Darren Rogan gave his time and expertise in support of LIVES in the production of many of the recipes in Lincolnshire Kitchen, whilst also cooking ALL recipes you see featured.

Darren won Chef of the Year 2019 at the Taste of Excellence Awards and Micro Business of the Year 2020 at the Lincolnshire Technology & Innovation Awards. He enjoys using fresh, local, seasonal produce wherever possible as he believes it captures the time of year and enhances the flavour of the dish. Darren added, “There is such a variety and such great quality produce here in the county, it would be silly to look elsewhere. I use local produce including meats, fish, vegetables and cheeses, which I feel helps to include a unique sense of Lincolnshire into the dishes I create.”

This project would also not have been possible without the support of the following:

Photography by David Harrison. David gave time, skills and experience free of charge to the project, capturing the images of the food you see in the book.

Design by Epix Media. Zoe & Will at Epix have supported the book in a number of ways, but the impact they made in the design of the cookbook was invaluable.

Cooked & captured on location at Ashlin Farm Barns. We were donated the venue on a number of occasions and these exclusive holiday rentals were the perfect setting for our Cookbook.

Supported by Visit Lincoln, opening networks throughout Lincolnshire

What a great team effort… we can’t wait to try the other recipes in this fantastic book!
