This event has now finished. Please check back later.

This is a very special Christmas Safari!  You will you enjoy a ride on the Unimog around Stourton Estates through woodland and into the deer enclosure to see our herd of Red Deer.  A lovely experience for the whole family in the run up to Christmas and you can choose your own Christmas Tree to take home.

This is a great opportunity to get together and get up close and personal with our Red Deer before heading back to the warmth of the safari tent with its roaring log burner and having a hot drink or choosing from a small selection of gifts on offer from local businesses.

We will also have several beautiful premium Nordmann Fir Christmas Trees available if you would like to take one home with you.  Light refreshments such as mulled wine, home-made soup, cakes and Baileys Hot Chocolate with a mince pie or two will also be available!

These Christmas Safaris are very limited in number so booking is essential, they will last around 45 minutes.  Infants under 2 are free of charge, but must sit on knees.

Portable Toilet facilities are available within the arboretum near the safari tent, before the start and at the end of the tour.

Please read the Visitor Information tab (above) that has full details of where to meet to join this tour.  Unfortunately if you are unable to make it to the start point by the tour leave time, in order to be fair to other passengers we will have to start the safari.  However if there are places on an alternative tour you may be able to join that one instead.

Visitors should meet at Stourton Woods, Clays Lane off the A158 LN9 5NL, please note there is NO ACCESS from the Caistor High Street (B1225).  Look out for the red Christmas Tree on the roadside, showing the entrance.

Unfortunately there is not any wheelchair access on the Unimog and visitors need to be able to climb up a ladder at the rear of the mog to get on board safely.  It is suggested that warm clothing is worn as it will be cold on the back of the mog!

Visitors should aim to arrive on site 10-15 minutes ahead of the tour leaving time.

If you have any difficulties in finding us please phone 07968 327771, however unfortunately mobile phone signal in this location is patchy.
