NEW – Christmas Safaris!

– Choose your own Nordman Fir Christmas tree from the aboretum and see the Red Deer!

This event has now finished. Please check back later.

This is a Special Christmas Safari – not only will you enjoy a ride on the Tractor & Trailer around the Stourton Estate through woodland and into the deer enclosure to see our herd of Red Deer in the run up to Christmas but you can also wander around the aboretum to choose your Christmas Tree!

This is a lovely experience for the whole family to get together and get up close and personal with the Red Deer before going to the aboretum to choose from a selection of beautiful premium Nordman Fir Trees.   The tree will then be loaded onto the trailer (with you!) before going back up to the barn at the farm where you might like a warming drink or a mince pie before going home to decorate your tree.

These Christmas Safaris are very limited in number so booking is essential, they will last just over an hour.  Infants under 2 are free of charge, but must sit on knees.

Toilet facilities are available at the farm, before the start and at the end of the tour.

If you would like more information on the Nordmann Fir Trees available please click here to see our range.

Please read the Visitor Information tab (above) that has full details of where to meet to join this tour.  Unfortunately if you are unable to make it to the start point by the tour leave time, in order to be fair to other passengers we will have to start the safari, however if there are places on an alternative tour you may be able to join that one instead.

Visitors should meet on the Stourton Estate, at Top Yard Farm from the Caister High Street (B1229), LN9 5PB.  Look out for the red venison sign on the roadside, showing the farm entrance.  There is also a green sign showing Top Yard Farm above the hedgerow.

Wheelchair access is available from the elevated platform at the back of the trailer, please make a note of this on your booking if it is needed.

It is suggested that warm clothing is worn as it will be cold on the trailer.

Visitors should aim to arrive on site 15 minutes ahead of the tour leaving time.
