Stourton Sunflower Experience – Sat 27th & Sun 28th July

Come and enjoy the Stourton Sunflower Experience with a tractor and trailer ride taking you directly to (& from!) our Sunflower field.  The Sunflower field has changed location from last year, as all our crops need to rotate to ensure healthy soil and good crops.  The trail features a 1km (approx) walking trail through the field of sunflowers.  You can enjoy the trail at your leisure taking some wonderful photos of the sunflowers along your way.  There will also be a designated ‘picking area’ of the field to cut your stems & take home – so don’t forget your secateurs/scissors!

Throughout the day Wilderness ways will be at the roundhouse, on Saturday & Sunday, so why not try your skill at axe throwing (bookable on the day).  Great value for only £4 a go for 15 Axes!

Nomad Coffee Company will also be catering from the round house with delicious coffee, drinks, bakes and cakes!

FREE kids activity sheets available at the roundhouse.

Also available at this event will be our very own honey as well as our venison – lovingly reared here on the farm.  It’s delicious why not give it a try and taste it for yourself, or perhaps treat your dog to an antler dog chew – all available to purchase from the roundhouse where you catch the tractor & trailer ride to & back from the sunflower field.

Booking times are just for your arrival & tractor & trailer tour to the sunflower field (where you will likely catch a glimpse of the red deer too!).  You are welcome to stay as long as you like as the trailer will be backwards & forward all day dropping off & picking up visitors to the field safely.

It is £5 per person (under 2’s are FOC as long as they sit on knees on the tractor & trailer).  This is for the whole sunflower experience, (parking included) which includes 3 sunflowers per person to take home with you.

Experience a ride on the tractor & trailer to our sunflower field.  Once you arrive you are welcome to stay as long as you like and wander along the sunflower trail taking the beauty of these naturally uplifting flowers.  Don’t forget to take plenty of photos along the way!

Refreshments will be available in the roundhouse for you to take along to the sunflower field or to enjoy on your return.

A portable toilet will also be available inside the Sunflower field.

Well behaved dogs on leads are also more than welcome to come and enjoy the sunflower experience with you too!

Open 10am – 4pm on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th July.

We are ONLY accessible from the A158, please look for the signage on the roadside turning down Clays Lane and following the signs to Stourton Woods / the Walled Garden Baumber.  PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO ACCESS FROM THE CAISTOR HIGH STREET B1225.

Once on the Estate after 50 yards turn right onto the chalk road and see our team on the gate to gain access to the parking area within the deer field.

You will catch the Tractor and Trailer ride from the Roundhouse, which will run throughout the day.

Unfortunately this experience is not suitable for those who are unable to climb 3 steps onto the trailer, pushchairs and wheelchairs will also struggle with the terrain in the sunflower field as the ground is very bumpy.

Well behaved dogs on leads are more than welcome to come and enjoy the sunflower experience with you!
