Winter jobs continued across the farm throughout December. The cattle shed is being mucked out, with manure saved ready for spreading next summer. Heavy rain has paused beet lifting until January. e![]()

While most of the team enjoy a Christmas break, Antony and David will be feeding the stock and chickens and keeping everything ticking over.

We were sad to say goodbye recently to one of our oldest and most affectionate hinds, Blackie. ![]()

She joined us, in calf, back in 2012 and produced many well-natured calves over the years. As she aged and lost several teeth, we fed her barley by hand until nature took its course. Always comfortable around people and keen for a scratch, sheโll be fondly remembered by everyone here at Stourton.
